Stephens Memorial Hospital is hiring for a Licensed Vocational Nurse or EMT-P for the Emergency Department.
The ER Licensed Vocational Nurse is responsible for providing high standards of emergency nursing care to ill, injured convalescent or disabled patients. The ER LVN work as part of SMH’s healthcare team and is responsible for assessing patient needs, planning and modifying care, and implementing interventions.
Minimum Requirements:
•Graduate of an accredited school of vocational nursing.
•Current Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license with the Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners.
•1-2 years of emergency room nursing experience strongly preferred.
•Employee is responsible for obtaining and maintaining Basic Cardiac Life Support (CPR-Healthcare Provider) within 6 months of hire.
•Employee is responsible for obtaining and maintaining Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and/or Emergency Pediatric Trauma within 6 months of hire.
